EMPI GTV-2 Street cylinder heads are complete performance cylinder heads for use in air-cooled Volkswagen engines. They are supplied assembled with 44mm x 37.5mm stainless steel valves, double competition valve springs, and are bore for 90.5mm/92mm piston cylinders. If you wish to use a 94mm kit, you can bore the cylinder bore. They feature a special aluminum alloy for greater stress and durability, and are repairable. The intake and exhaust ports are 20% larger than the originals. Added material surrounds the combustion chamber so that the walls can be reworked if desired without the need for welding to enlarge the ports (intake and exhaust). The exhaust air passages are clear for excellent cooling.


The spark plug threads are 12mm long. Double racing springs, chrome-propylene retainers and locks, bronze valve guides, reinforced seats. Includes rocker arm studs and studs for the intake/exhaust manifolds. EMPI code #98-1440-B (44x37.5) 90.5mm / 92mm, chamber volume 56cc.

Approximate spring load: initial 130 lbs, with 13mm of lift 260 lbs, link lock with 19mm of lift.
